26 two-dimensional life sized Olympic figures depicting Olympic sports panels are being created to celebrate the Torch coming through.

The large panels will be put up on top of the railings at the south end of Beach House Park.

All the figures have been decorated by schools and community groups across Adur and Worthing as part of a free community arts project run by Creative Waves (a local community interest company) and sponsored by Worthing and Adur councils.

Creative Waves will be running an arty workshop in Worthing’s Guildbourne Centre on Saturday 14 July 11am to 2pm with the finished panels on display (in the former Somerfield supermarket shop) over the weekend and then erected on site on Monday morning 16^th July ready to welcome the Torch.
