Both Adur and Worthing Councils have agreed to pilot a new scheme locally to encourage children to get back to traditional play outdoors in their own streets. The Councils have agreed to pilot six dates in 2013 where residents can apply for a free Road Closure for the purposes of street play on set days over the year:

• Friday, 19th April, 2013
• Tuesday, 7th May, 2013
• Sunday, 9th June, 2013
• Monday, 8th July, 2013
• Friday, 6th September, 2013
• Monday, 7th October, 2013

Temporary Play Streets is an easy and manageable project for small communities to do. An application form and guidance document can be found below and support is being provided for residents, if it is needed, for the first session.
